Chef whips Government!

Jamie Oliver, a.k.a. "The Naked Chef", with the aid of a Channel 4 TV programme has shamed this mealy-mouthed government into increasing the amount of money allowed to feed our primary school-children from 37p to 50p per child, per day, an extra £200,000,000 in total. I, along with many others, would argue that this still isn't enough to provide a better balanced meal than the reconstituted junk that is the norm.
The point is, surely, that it's a poor show when a celebrity chef's campaign is the spark that makes the government put it's hand in it's pocket and let the infants in our state schools eat a good meal instead of crap.
The Education Secretary, of course, claims that she had been campaigning for a raise in the school meals allowance to schools since she got the job several months ago, yeah right.
The logic is inescapable, if Jamie Oliver can persuade the government and the government's own minister can't........................It's Jamie for education secretary!
